About Me 

Academic Training

I have a Bachelor's degree in 'Counselling and Psychotherapy: Professional Practice' from the University of Salford in Manchester. I specialise in Person Centred Therapy and this the core of my practice however I have gained additional training and knowledge in other types of therapy such as Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and others.

So far in my career I've been fortunate enough to work with a wide range of client's who vary in background and have their own personal reason for coming to therapy. The variety in my client's base has strengthened my confidence in my abilities. I know I am equipped with the tools to work with any and everyone.

Therapy Offered: Psychotherapy 

What is it:

Psychotherapy gives you the chance to do something for yourself. It can be used to address experiences from the past, offload whats going on for you in the present or help with anxiety the future is giving you; whatever your needs, there are method's that can help get you to your final destination. The best part about the journey is that therapy doesn't just end once you've left the session. You take away tools you can apply later on in your life if you have another bump in the road.

1-1 Therapy

1-1 Therapy means only you and I are present during the session. This allows the focus to be solely on your needs and whatever you want to discuss. Each sessions is 60 minutes and the number of sessions we have is down to your discretion; when you feel like your therapy needs have been met, you are free to end the therapeutic arrangement.
COVID-19 : To address any concerns regarding face to face sessions, I can confirm that the recommended 2 metre distance is/can be upheld in the therapy room.

Telephone  / Video Therapy

With the unusual times we are currently in, the inability to go outside can be a strain on your mental health but I am offering full sessions via phone or video call. 
This not only keeps us both out of harms way but it allows us to follow government guidelines without taking away from your mental health needs. 
In addition, this is beneficial to those of you who have anxieties around leaving the house; you now have the option to start your sessions via phone or video call and if/ when you feel comfortable, you can move onto face to face sessions.
